OUR STORY

Understanding opens
possibilities.

Reckoning Figures began with a tutoring question: how can we help students keep building confidence when the session ends?

THE PERSON BEHIND THE PRACTICE

Hi, I’m Emmanuel.

I’m a tutor and the founder of Reckoning Figures. Working with students has taught me that learning takes patience. Sometimes a student needs another explanation. Sometimes they need more practice. And sometimes they need someone to help them believe they can figure it out.

That is why I’m building this. I want students to have a place where they can work through confusion, try again, and see their progress. A place they can return to between tutoring sessions, after school, or simply because they want to learn.

My goal is to make useful learning more accessible and to help students build the confidence to keep going.

THE IDEA BEHIND RECKONING FIGURES

Math is a way
to make things possible.

It shows up in the structures we build, the patterns artists explore, the inventions we use, and the questions we ask about the world. We want learners to see those connections, alongside the steps that help them solve an equation.

MORE THAN ONE WAY TO LEARN

01

For your own goals.

Start where you are. Revisit a skill, prepare for what’s next, or follow your curiosity at your own pace.

02

With people who support you.

Practice between tutoring sessions. Connect with a parent who can follow your progress and help you choose your next step.

03

As part of a classroom.

Give teachers a way to assign practice and see completed work, with students connected to the right class.

WHERE WE’RE GOING

A stronger foundation.
A wider world.

We’re starting with Algebra 1. Our vision is to grow into more courses, beginning with Pre-Algebra, while making the experience clearer, more engaging, and more useful for the people learning with us.

We’re still building. Student, parent, tutor, and teacher feedback will help shape what comes next. We want Reckoning Figures to be something people can rely on as they grow.
